Plot:
Two high school sisters search for survivors in a barren downtown Los Angeles after a passing comet magically obliterates nearly all organic life.
Reasons to watch:
Not as much of a horror film as it advertises itself to be and tries a bit too hard to cruise by on Dawn of the Dead (1978) references, but this post-apocalyptic sci-fi action teen comedy features excellent visual design, some very funny and very 80s humor, and a terrific lead performance from Catherine Mary Stewart.
