The Boss (1973)

"Jesus doesn't like porno films."
Directed by: Fernando Di Leo
Cinematography by: Franco Villa
Country: Italy
Plot:
Based on the novel Il Mafioso by Peter McCurtin, an obedient hitman is tasked with assassinating friends and enemies alike after a brutal power play sets off a merciless war.
Reasons to watch:
Loyalties are tested, and the exploitation sleaze is amped all the way up in this final installment of Di Leo's Milieu Trilogy. It's a horny, blood-drunk, twisting poliziotteschi that's essentially just 100 minutes of crazed, ice-cold motherfuckers taking each other out, interspersed with sex scenes involving a mob boss's nymphomaniac daughter. And Di Leo offers up this stylish trash cinema totem to play out his ever-present social commentaries on the era's frenzied and blatantly corrupt political turmoil where only the most heartless opportunists make it to the top.
