Plot:
A young girl in an extremist revolutionary group blows herself up in front of a special ops soldier, leading the soldier to form a special bond with another member of the group.
Reasons to watch:
Jin-Roh's unique art style and expressive score help set a hard-edged gravity to the governmental shadowplay in this dystopian animated flick that's closer to a conspiratorial political thriller than the mindlessly action-driven exploitation film its cover seems to suggest - though no less violent.
