Peerless image-maker, tireless adventurer, and unadulterated crazyman, Werner Herzog's influential experimental documentary Fata Morgana is part landscape poetry, part ethnographic study - and utterly mesmerizing.

Survivor: Micronesia (Fans vs. Favorites) [Season 16]

What's going on: The tribes are mixed up, and a few contestants get major booboos in the first mix-and-match challenge, most noticeably Jonathan, who gets a stick through the knee (it's nasty). Speaking of sticks, Jason finds one too. Joel continues to be overconfident, Cirie shows off her persuasional skills that got her so far in her first season, and Chetty is here!

What I Learned: Pitch is the wavelength or distance between the peaks of two successive sound waves. Longer wavelength with peaks further apart = lower pitch. Shorter wavelength with peaks closer together = higher pitch. And the amplitude or height of the sound wave = loudness. High amplitude = louder, short = quieter.
