What's going on: I finished the season. Lots of dynamic personalities made it quite enjoyable, and the final jury showdown had one of the strongest performances I've seen since Hatch in Season 1, where one of the finalists nails every question that comes their way.

Survivor: Micronesia (Fans vs. Favorites) [Season 16]

What's going on: They introduced the returning favorites, most of whom are from newer seasons or at least post-All-Stars. There were a handful of Survivor seasons that I had seen when I was younger way way way before I started watching them all with my girlfriend over the summer (she has seen all 46 seasons, many of them multiple times), and I believe this is one of the last ones I ever watched in my youth. I remember loving the hell out of it, so I'm excited to revisit it, especially now, knowing who every single returning contestant is. In the first few episodes, the faves get their booties kicked twice; there's a real mean football-type match where I feel like some people should've gotten checked for a concussion afterward; Eliza continues her reputation of being Survivor's annoying little sister (also she falls out of a wooden cart); multiple couples form on the Favorites side (they be fuckin fo sho); a couple is immediately broken up on the Fans side; and Cirie becomes a bit of a head honcho.
